Primary Talent Partners (PTP) is thrilled to announce its partnership with Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU), a distinguished HBCU (Historically Black College and University) located in Charlotte, NC. This collaboration is part of PTP’s mission to empower underrepresented talent and create educational opportunities through associateship, mentorship, and scholarship initiatives funded themselves.
Through their diversIT Scholars program, PTP will provide scholarships to deserving JCSU students, including two new scholars, Ana Garcia-Villegas and Samuel Evans III, both sophomores local to Charlotte. This initiative will enable these bright students to excel in their academic pursuits while gaining invaluable transferrable skills and guidance. Additionally, the PrimaryPathways™ program will offer paid associateships, connecting students with professionals in their fields of interest.
PTP has established standing partnerships with several other mid-level HBCUs across the U.S. and is committed to focusing on these institutions that often do not receive as much attention as their larger counterparts. Despite this, the talent within these mid-level schools is undeniable, and investing in their potential is unquestioned.
The partnership with JCSU reflects PTP’s dedication to fostering inclusivity and empowering underrepresented groups within the community. By investing in local education and talent, they hope to be a force multiplier in building a stronger, more diverse workforce.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting partnership as PTP and JCSU work together to create meaningful opportunities for students and contribute to the growth of the Carolina workforce!
